Salut! I’m Paula. I’m French-born, Yorkshire-based and a former professional ice skater. I spent years under spotlights in costumes that were pure art and that obsession with detail never left me. Today, I’m a mum to three wildly imaginative kids, fiancé to the most wonderful human on Earth, and the creative brain behind this shop.

From Hobbyist to Certified Tech

Like many great obsessions, mine began with an impulsive late-night Amazon purchase back in 2020. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a deep dive into the "rabbit hole" of professional techniques. While I’m self-taught on the art side, I didn't stop there. I wanted the technical foundation to match my creativity so I certified as a technician in gel polish, builder gel/ hard gel and Russian manicures. This means every set I create isn’t just pretty it’s built with the precision and structural knowledge of a salon professional.

My Neurodivergent "Superpower"

I’m neurodivergent, which means I don't just "paint nails." I hyperfocus. I will obsess over a single botanical line or the perfect chrome shift until it’s flawless. My sense of priority might be a bit unconventional, I’ve definitely forgotten I was cooking because I was too deep into a design but that’s exactly why my work is unapologetically original. You’re getting my full focus, every single time.

The "Nails with Paula" Vibe

I’m not your typical "pink and glitter" nail person. If there’s a green option, I’m taking it. I have a weakness for anything soft or tiny, and I believe nails should be an accessory, not just a beauty treatment.

I use the gold standard: 100% premium Après Gel-X tips and salon-grade Gellifique colours. These aren't drugstore press-ons; they are durable, high-end canvases designed for people who want something that reflects their individuality.
